Ignatious Abraham, Ph.D.
Ignatious Abraham joined the Department of Chemistry as Assistant Professor on 03 September 2012. Teaches physical chemistry courses for B.Sc. and M.Sc. Chemistry programs, and pharmaceutical chemistry course for M.Sc. Applied Chemistry program. Expertise in carrying out microscale experiments in chemistry. Research interests include photochemistry, synthetic organic chemistry and computational chemistry. Successfully completed a UGC minor research project.
EDUCATION
PhD : Department of Chemistry, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
Worked as Senior Research Fellow (CSIR) under the supervision of Dr. R.T. Pardasani. The title of the thesis is “Synthetic and Theoretical Studies on the Photocycloaddition Reactions of 1,4-Benzoquinones”. Research work constitutes the areas of Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Photochemistry and Computational Chemistry.
